Bhopal, April 20 -- 33-year-old widow residing near Pragati Nagar Colony in the Awdhpuri police station area has alleged misconduct and harassment by two police personnel during a routine vehicle check. The incident has raised serious questions about protocol adherence during police checks, especially in the absence of female officers.
According to the woman's written complaint to DCP Headquarters Shraddha Tiwari and other senior police officials, the incident occurred recently when she was travelling on her scooty. She was stopped by Head Constable Atul Choukse and Constable Jitendra, reportedly under the pretext of routine vehicle checking.
