India, June 16 -- India is witnessing an unprecedented scale of investment in ecological restoration, particularly through Government programmes like the Compensatory Afforestation Fund Management and Planning Authority (CAMPA) and the Green India Mission (GIM). These initiatives aim to restore millions of hectares of degraded forests and increase forest and tree cover as a part of India's commitments under the Paris Agreement and Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs).
