New Delhi, Jan. 28 -- Ahead of the Budget Session of the Parliament this week, the Parliamentary committee scrutinising the Waqf bill is set to propose that the existing "Waqf by user" properties will remain so if not in dispute or is a government facility, as the panel on Monday adopted all amendments proposed by members of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and reject those by Opposition MPs.

The panel is set to adopt its report on Wednesday with MPs of opposition parties such as the Congress, TMC, DMK and the AIMIM expected to give their dissent, the sources said.
