India, Sept. 10 -- Telecom major Vodafone Idea Ltd has moved the Supreme Court seeking quashing of the additional AGR demands for the period until 2016-17.

The company has filed a fresh plea seeking a direction to the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) to "comprehensively re-assess and reconcile all AGR dues for the period up to FY 2016-17 following the 'Deduction Verification Guidelines'" dated February 3, 2020. The firm has sought an early hearing on its petition which was filed on September 8.
