New Delhi, March 16 -- Delhi Public Works Department (PWD) Minister Parvesh Verma on Saturday conducted an inspection of the ongoing drainage construction project at the Rohtak Road to review its progress. The road, a key corridor connecting Haryana to Delhi, has been in poor condition, prompting multiple complaints from local residents, an official statement of the PWD said.

The 18-kilometre stretch from Peeragarhi Chowk to Tikri Border is set for redevelopment. The drainage construction is expected to cost approximately '115 Crore and is scheduled for completion within 14 months. Since this project involves areas where Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) and three Delhi Metro stations are located, necessary permissions will be required.
