BHUBANESWAR, June 27 -- The State Assembly continued to witness uproarious scenes for the second day on Wednesday as Congress members insisted that Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik make a statement in the House over his party's decision to support BJP candidate Ashwini Vaishnaw for Rajya Sabha election.

Raising the issue during Zero Hour, Congress Legislature Party Leader Narasingha Mishra said the Taradatt Committee report has clearly mentioned about the complicity of Vaishnaw in the discretionary quota scam, which is under investigation by the Vigilance department.

He also alleged that Vaishnaw has nexus with mining mafia and wanted to know how the non-Odia Rajya Sabha nominee would serve the interest of the State.
