Lucknow, Feb. 10 -- The Uttar Pradesh government intends to invest nearly Rs 50,000 crore in seven new expressway projects in the next 2-3 years, connecting about 30 districts to the vast expressway network in the state
According to official sources, the combined length of these expressways is 866 kilometres. The state cabinet has approved the new expressway projects. At present, UP accounts for the largest network of expressways in India, either operational or under construction.
These projects, to be undertaken by the UP Expressway Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA), will feed the one-trillion-dollar economy targets of the Yogi Adityanath government in the state.
