Lucknow, June 8 -- In a noteworthy stride toward environmental sustainability, the Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board (UPPCB) has reported a remarkable 68.8 per cent improvement in the state's water quality across rivers and reservoirs in 2024 compared to the previous year.

This marked progress is the result of consistent policy implementation, strict environmental oversight, and large-scale public initiatives like the Namami Gange Mission, aimed at rejuvenating the Ganga River, and the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, which promotes cleanliness and hygiene.
