India, June 27 -- Union Textiles Minister Giriraj Singh on the second day of his tour to Jharkhand visited the urban solid waste based compressed biogas plant operated by GAIL India located in Jhiri area of Ranchi on Thursday morning. Senior officials associated with the plant of GAIL India were also present on this occasion.
The Minister was welcomed with a bouquet and a shawl on his arrival. A presentation, information was given on the work being done by this plant and the production capacity which has been in operation since January 2025, i.e. for the last six months.
This plant is currently producing 2-2.5 tonnes of gas by processing about 40-50 tonnes of urban waste. However, the plant aims to get 150 tonnes of daily waste from Ranch...
