Bhopal, June 9 -- Three months after the Global Investors Summit, 100 electric buses used during the event remain missing from Bhopal's transport system, despite official promises of swift integration.
The eco-friendly buses had ferried dignitaries from railway stations and hotels to the event venue and back. At the summit's conclusion, state authorities unveiled plans to induct them into the city's public transport network to reduce congestion and pollution.
But the fleet remains unused. BMC Chairman Kishan Suryavanshi said logistics and bidding are still being finalised. "The buses will be operational soon. Preparatory work is underway," he stated.
