Ranchi, Feb. 4 -- Matriculation and intermediate examinations conducted by Jharkhand Academic Council are likely to get postponed this year. The exams which are scheduled to begin from February 11 may get delayed as admit cards for the same have not been issued yet.
The tenures of JAC Chairman Dr Anil Mahto and Vice Chairman Dr Vinod Singh came to end on January 18. The government has not appointed a new chairman and this delay could now affect the exams. Initially, exams for class 8 were scheduled to commence from January 28 and for class 9 from January 29-30, but they too were also postponed.
A total of 7.83 lakh students - 4.33 lakh for matric and 3.50 lakh students for intermediate are supposed to appear for the exams. As many as 2100...
