Bhopal, May 9 -- As India's tensions with Pakistan intensify, the Madhya Pradesh chapter of the All India Ulema Board has called for special prayers across the state on Friday.

In a statement released in the state capital, Board President Qazi Syed Anas Ali urged mosque committees and Imams throughout Madhya Pradesh to lead collective prayers for India's victory and Pakistan's defeat after the weekly sermons. The call follows a Pakistan-sponsored attack on innocent civilians in Jammu and Kashmir.
