India, June 1 -- Bhopal Police arrested a 27-year-old Ugandan woman, Stella Nakabunde, for residing illegally in India for more than three years. Authorities revealed that Nakabunde's visa expired in 2022, yet she continued living in various cities across the country without renewing it.

According to the Shahpura police, Nakabunde had been residing in Delhi for several months. However, amid heightened scrutiny of foreign nationals' documentation following tensions with Pakistan, she fled Delhi about a month ago and relocated to Bhopal. In Bhopal, she rented accommodation in Gulmohar Colony under the Shahpura police station jurisdiction, allegedly using a forged identity card that claimed she was affiliated with a private college.
