Bhopal, April 3 -- In a major success for security forces, two women Naxalites, each carrying a bounty of ?14 lakh, were gunned down in an encounter in Madhya Pradesh's Mandla district on Wednesday morning. The gunfight took place within the Bichhiya police station limits. Director General of Police (DGP) Kailash Makwana has confirmed the incident.
Security forces recovered a self-loading rifle (SLR), a single-shot rifle, a wireless set, and other essential items from the site. A search operation is ongoing in the surrounding forest areas to track down other Naxal operatives.
