India, Nov. 20 -- Delhi Police have arrested two alleged members of the so-called tala-chaabi gang, a travelling burglary syndicate that scouts neighbourhoods while posing as key-makers.
The arrests come two months after a Rs 1.5 crore burglary at a Krishna Nagar home in Shahdara, where thieves fled with gold, silver and diamond jewellery.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Shahdara) Parshant Gautam said the breakthrough followed a wide technical sweep.
"Our teams scanned over 2,500 CCTV cameras from Delhi to Indore. The pattern, movement and method matched dossiers of burglars who operate under the key-maker cover. This helped us zero in on the suspects," he said.
