Jammu, Aug. 10 -- Two soldiers of the Indian army, one of them married only four months ago, made were killed during one of the longest anti-terror operations launched in the Akhal forest area of South Kashmir's Kulgam district to flush out the hiding terrorists on Saturday.

Both the fallen soldiers hailed from Punjab. The family members in their native villages were devastated after hearing the news of the martyrdom of their loved ones on the auspicious occasion of Raksha Bandhan.

Lance Naik Pritpal Singh was married four months ago. Sepoy Harminder Singh's mother and sisters were awaiting his safe return home after the operation.
