Bhopal, June 23 -- The Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the Meghalaya Police has arrested two more persons from Madhya Pradesh in connection with the sensational murder of Indore-based transport businessman Raja Raghuvanshi, bringing the total number of arrests in the case to seven.
Raghuvanshi, who went missing during a honeymoon trip to Meghalaya in late May, was found brutally murdered in a gorge near the Weisawdong Falls in Sohra (Cherrapunji) on June 2. The 32-year-old was allegedly killed by three men on May 23 with machetes near a secluded parking lot in the East Khasi Hills district. His wife, Sonam Raghuvanshi, is accused of conspiring in the murder along with her alleged lover Raj Kushwaha and his associates.
