Jamshedpur, April 13 -- In a significant incident during an ongoing anti-Naxal operation in the Kolhan forest region of West Singhbhum district, two security personnel were seriously injured after triggering an improvised explosive device (IED) planted by Naxals. The blast took place on Saturday, in the Chotanagra and Goilkera police station areas. The injured have been identified as: Sainik Sunee, from CoBRA 203 Battalion (CRPF) and Constable Sunil Dhanu, from Jharkhand Jaguar. The incident occurred as the personnel were involved in a joint security operation, which began on March 4, 2025, targeting Naxalite movements and camps in the region.
