New Delhi, May 12 -- The Delhi Police have arrested two men and seized over 365 kilograms of marijuana worth approximately Rs 1 crore, officials said on Sunday. The contraband was recovered from a hidden cavity in a truck that had travelled from Odisha to Delhi. The arrested accused, identified as Deepak (36) and Sunil Malik alias Kala (25) are residents of Sonipat, Haryana. They were apprehended on Friday in the Rohini area, following an extensive two-month surveillance operation.
According to police, the vehicle used to smuggle the drugs was registered in Malik's name, under instructions from Sanjeev Rana, the alleged mastermind of the smuggling operation. After delivering a consignment in Kolkata, the duo collected the marijuana from Br...
