New Delhi, July 9 -- Two Advocates - Swetasree Majumder and Rajesh Datar - selected by Supreme Court Collegium has given withdrawal of consent, protesting on delay from Government to appoint them as High Court Judges. Senior lawyers Majumdar was selected as Delhi High Court Judge in August 2024 and Data was selected as Bombay High Court Judge by Collegium in September 2024.

"We condemn the Union Government's unconstitutional and illegal move to "segregate" Ms Majumder's and Mr Datar's names from other recommendations.
