Ranchi, June 5 -- The Jharkhand Bandh called by tribal organisations affected normal life in the State as businesses were affected and road transport was affected in the entire State. Bandh supporters closed shops in urban areas and blocked roads to enforce the bandh. A number of bandh supporters were detained and were released in the evening on Wednesday.
In the capital city hundreds of workers of Central Sarna Samiti and Chadri Sarna Samiti, led by President Bablu Munda and Jaglal Pahan, took to the streets to enforce Jharkhand bandh. The bandh started from the head office of the Central Sarna Samiti, Line Tank Road, PWD Quarters, via Line Tank Road, Chadri HB Road, reaching Albert Ekka Chowk, and sat on the roads.
