Gurugram, May 24 -- Haryana Minister for Environment, Forest and Wildlife and Industry and Commerce, Rao Narbir Singh said that farmers in Farrukhnagar and Pataudi regions in Gurugram should play their important role by participating in the government's efforts to conserve water.

A plan is underway to supply treated water from Sewage Treatment Plants (STPs) to approximately 30 villages in the area for agricultural and horticultural use.

He also emphasised the importance of community participation in this initiative and said that in this regard he would personally engage with local farmers next week.
