BHOPAL, Feb. 23 -- Day-long traffic snarls on Saturday and a heavy security blanket failed to dampen the spirits of city residents, who expressed optimism that the Prime Ministerial visit and the Global Investors Summit would bring much-needed industrial succour to the city.
The Raj Bhavan Road remained closed to private vehicles. Municipal workers were seen giving final touches to the area where Prime Minister Narendra Modi will spend a substantial part of his overnight visit, which starts with his arrival in the city on Sunday.
The Prime Minister is scheduled for an overnight halt at the Governor's Bungalow and will address BJP legislators at the adjacent Kushabhau Thackeray Auditorium the next morning.
