India, Nov. 10 -- A three-year-old child was killed after a van allegedly hit a motorcycle in southwest Delhi's Dwarka area on Saturday night.

The incident took place near Sector 16B when a van collided with a motorcycle being ridden by a man identified as Vishnu.

His three-year-old child was seated in front of him at the time of the crash, a senior police officer said.

Soon after the collision, local residents gathered at the spot and allegedly assaulted the van driver before the police arrived.

The driver, identified as Deepak, 27, also sustained injuries in the attack.
