Kolkata, May 26 -- The Trinamool Congress has justified Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's not attending the Niti Ayog meeting on Saturday with senior leaders saying that the Chief Minister skipped the meeting to register her protest against central deprivation as also depriving her chance to speak by getting her microphone disconnected last time when she went to attend the meeting.

Speaking on the issue State TMC vice president Jayprakash Majumdar reminded how, "pour leader (Banerjee) was not allowed to speak when she tried to put the case of Bengal's deprivation, her microphone was disconnected when she was speaking.
