Kolkata, March 12 -- Amid the ongoing row over duplication of voters' identification numbers both the Trinamool Congress and the BJP leaders from Bengal on Tuesday moved the Election Commission of India (ECI) with a demand to strike out the names of fake voters from the electoral rolls.
While the BJP's move is reportedly aimed to offset Mamata Banerjee's drive against "ghost voters" allegedly introduced in the electoral rolls by the saffron outfit to win elections the TMC'sidea is to maintain its pressure both on the Commission and the BJP ahead of the next year's Assembly elections.
