Kanpur, May 30 -- In preparation for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's scheduled rally at Chandra Shekhar Azad (CSA) University on Friday, an elaborate three-tier security system has been put in place. Special Protection Group (SPG) commandos arrived in Kanpur on Tuesday and began rigorous inspection and coordination exercises with local authorities.

On Thursday, the SPG's Inspector General conducted an on-ground review of security arrangements. The inspection covered Chakeri Airport, the rally stage under construction at CSA, and key transit points such as the metro station.
