Chandigarh, Feb. 20 -- Chhatbir Zoo on Wednesday witnessed a moment of pride as two tiger cubs - Abhay and Aryan - stepped into their semi-open habitat, marking the beginning of their new life outside Intensive Care. The cubs, born to white tigress Gauri and yellow tiger Arjun on October 31, 2024, midnight during Diwali celebrations, are now healthy and thriving.

Punjab's Forest and Wildlife Preservation Minister Lal Chand Kataruchak, who officiated the release, emphasized Punjab's commitment to wildlife care and conservation. "These cubs represent our success in conservation efforts and the importance of responsible breeding programs," he said.
