India, Jan. 21 -- Aiming to ensure smooth traffic flow and alleviate congestion in the capital, the Delhi Government has approved major projects covering three key flyovers.

While it plans to build a new flyover on Janakpuri-Pankha Road, the two flyovers in Zakira and Seelampur will undergo comprehensive repair and rehabilitation, PWD minister Parvesh Sahib Singh Verma said on Tuesday. The two flyovers to undergo retrofit are critical, high-load structures, he added.

The approvals reflect the government's balanced infrastructure strategy, creating new capacity where congestion is growing, while undertaking scientific and technology-driven repairs of ageing flyovers to ensure public safety and long-term durability.
