Indore, April 17 -- Three persons were injured after an explosion in a firecracker factory in Indore in the afternoon on Tuesday; the license of the factory expired last month, said police.

An explosion occurred after a fire broke out in a firecracker factory in Amba Chandan village of Mhow police station area of Indore. It was found that there was a fire in the room where chemicals were kept. Three employees sustained burn injuries and were taken to Choithram Hospital by the owner of the factory.

The accident happened around 3.30 pm. As soon as the information was received, the police and administration team reached the spot. Relief and rescue operations have been started. Also, investigation into the incident has also been started.
