Garhwa, Feb. 22 -- Garhwa police have arrested three members of a gang involved in nearly three dozen theft cases in the Palamu commissionary. Jewellery and cash worth around Rs. 500,000 were recovered from them. One member of the gang is still at large, and police are searching for him.
Garhwa Superintendent of Police Deepak Kumar Pandey said there had been an increase in theft and housebreaking incidents in the Garhwa police station area in recent months. To catch the suspects and recover the stolen goods, a police team was formed under the leadership of the Sub-Divisional Police Officer, Garhwa.
During a raid, police officers spotted three suspicious individuals near Nahar Chowk between midnight and 1 am. They arrested the three men.
