Jammu, May 3 -- Before 'merchants of death' swooped down on the Baisaran valley to kill tourists in Pahalgam, over 60 security personnel, including at least 10 officers and around 30 civilians, have lost their lives in targeted strikes or ambushes by the Pakistan-based terrorists since October 2021, across different parts of Jammu and Kashmir.
The twin border districts of Rajouri and Poonch were the worst hit as they witnessed repeated ambushes on army trucks and patrol parties since October 2021. Later, the Pakistan-based terrorists extended the 'arc of terror' toward Reasi, Udhampur, Doda, Kishtwar and Kathua districts.
