India, Feb. 10 -- A Class 10 student was brutally stabbed to death in Delhi's Mangolpuri area on Monday morning while he was on his way to appear for a pre-board examination.

The incident marked the fifth fatal stabbing incident reported in the capital in the past 40 days and intensified concerns over the city's deteriorating law-and-order situation.

The victim, aged around 15-16 years, was found lying with a knife lodged in his head, a sight that police officers and locals described as horrific.
