DURG, Jan. 20 -- Chhattisgarh Police on Friday arrested two persons including a teenager from Raipur for cheating five members of a women self help group of Rs 90,000 by promising them subsidized loan.

Jagdish Sao alias Roshan Sahu (21) and a 17-year-old boy were taken into custody, Durg Senior Superintendent of Police Ram Gopal Garg said.

They cheated Kanti Sau, Nandita Kaushal and three other women of Rajiv Nagar area in Durg city.

The police nabbed Sao from Shyam Nagara area in Raipur. He named his accomplice, who too was detained.

They confessed to taking money from the bank account of the women's group. Sao was sent to prison and the teenager to a juvenile home.
