New delhi, Jan. 30 -- In its quest to curb power theft, the leading power utility Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited (Tata Power-DDL) supplying electricity to a populace of around nine million in North and North West Delhi, has secured convictions in 17 electricity theft cases from April 2024 till Jan 2025.
Since 2007 till date Special electricity courts have convicted total 78 accused in electricity theft and imposed heavy fine under section 135 of Electricity Act 2003.
