Ujjain, May 31 -- In preparation for the upcoming monsoon season, the Home Guard and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) have commenced a specialized swimming and boat handling training program for personnel deployed across various police stations and guard units. The first session took place on Thursday at the Kshipra River in Lalpur, focusing on flood rescue and disaster management preparedness.

The two-day training program saw the participation of 50 personnel from the Home Guard and SDRF on its opening day. The curriculum included essential swimming techniques, boat handling skills, and rescue operations aimed at boosting the flood rescue capabilities of the teams.
