Garhwa, Feb. 10 -- A suspected fraud has been uncovered in Garhwa district, Jharkhand, involving the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme. This scheme provides financial assistance to farmers. However, people who are not eligible are taking advantage of it.

The alleged fraud has been reported in Bisunpura block. Several villages are being used to register beneficiaries from other states, including Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, Gujarat, and Delhi. This means that genuine farmers may not be receiving the scheme's benefits.

The scam was discovered by Shambhu Chandravanshi, a local district council member. He found that some people listed as beneficiaries did not live in the villages where they were registered.
