Bhopal, May 23 -- A sudden spell of late evening rain, accompanied by strong, shifting winds, disrupted routine life in several parts of the city. Two-wheeler riders struggled to keep their balance as gusts changed direction unpredictably, making navigation perilous.
Corrugated roofing structures were damaged in several localities, with reports coming in from Khanugaon on the edge of the Upper Lake. At least one car was damaged in the area after roofing sheets were blown off.
Passengers travelling from Bhopal Junction railway station had a rough time as they braved the downpour to reach in time for their trains. The lack of shelter along parts of the station approach road added to their woes.
