Bhopal, Feb. 26 -- Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that work is being done at a rapid pace in Madhya Pradesh to fulfill Prime Minister Narendra Modi's dream of self-reliant India. Renewable and non-conventional energy sectors are being developed to achieve self-reliance in the energy sector.

In the last 9 years, there has been a ten-fold growth in the renewable energy sector in the state. Madhya Pradesh is now playing a leadership role in this field. In the year 2012, the renewable energy capacity of the state was 491 MW, which has now increased to 5,042 MW.
