Ranchi, Aug. 25 -- The political fraternity in Jharkhand, cutting across party lines and ideologies, mourned the death of former Finance Minister and veteran BJP leader Arun Jaitley on Saturday. Senior leaders remembered Jaitley's contributions to Indian politics and poured in tributes on social media as well as in person.
Chief Minister Raghubar Das took to social networking platform, Twitter, to pay homage to Jaitley and express solidarity for his bereaved family. "Today we have lost an irreplaceable and integral part of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) family. May his soul rest in peace and may the almighty provide strength to the bereaved family at this hour of extreme agony," Das tweeted.
