Dehradun, Dec. 9 -- State level Khel Mahakumbh will begin from December 22. The first sport which will be played at State level is athletics. Athletics on the first day will be played by both girls and boys in the under 12, 14 and 17 categories.
Tentative strength of players who will be participating on the first day is 520. The venue for the event is Maharana Pratap Sports College. The Khel Mahakumbh events at the State level will also see participation of women and physically challenged persons. The three new sports -swimming, archery and fencing which were added this year will be played on the last days of the event.
