DALTONGANJ, April 17 -- In a first casualty of summer this year in which a young spotted deer strayed into human habitation in search of water, only to die a torturous death when it was done to death by some unscrupulous people under the jungles of the Paton block in Palamu.
Forester Ramshresth Kumar said a case under wildlife protection act has been instituted against two named accused and four unidentified people for the killing of the spotted deer.
Forest team has collected some blood soaked soil at village Rudidee under the Paton police station limits.
The forest team could not get the hide and horns of the spotted deer, added the forester.
