India, Feb. 17 -- Delhi's Urban Development Minister Ashish Sood on Monday inspected nearly 7,400 Economically Weaker Section (EWS) flats at Bhalswa. The minister said the Delhi Government will initiate reconstruction and repair work after finding the housing units in a dilapidated condition due to non-allotment.
After reviewing the site, the Minister said the flats were built but not allotted in time, leading to their deterioration. He said the Government has begun a preliminary assessment and technical evaluation of the structures to determine the extent of repairs and redevelopment required.
