Ranchi, Sept. 7 -- Frequent visitors to the offices of Bihar discoms would notice a change in the office set up over the last couple of months. Some are sporting a fresh coat of paint. Some have newer equipment like computers and printers. And some have spruced up the look and feel of the office, making it more inviting for the visitors.

This is happening because for the first time ever, the two state discoms - North Bihar Power Distribution Company Ltd. (NBPDCL) and South Bihar Power Distribution Company Ltd. (SBPDCL) have collectively turned a profit.
