RAIPUR, July 1 -- Chhattisgarh Health Minister T.S. Singh Deo on Tuesday posted an apology on Twitter for not being able to provide jobs to the youths in the state.
On Monday, an unemployed youth from Dhamtari district tried to self-immolate at the gate of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel's residence in Raipur. He was admitted in a hospital with 40 per cent burn injuries and was said to be out of danger.
"I am very sad and ashamed by the pain caused to all unemployed Shiksha Karmis, Vidya Mitan, Prerak and other youths. I am still firm on the promises I had made to you through 'Jan Ghoshna Patra'. I promise that this government is putting its efforts. We are with you and will remain with you," Singh Deo tweeted.
