BHOPAL, Feb. 6 -- The Directorate of Public Health and Medical Education has issued a show-cause notice to Bhopal's Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO), Dr. Prabhakar Tiwari, over allegations of negligence and failure in discharging his duties. The notice has been issued under the Madhya Pradesh Civil Services (Classification, Control, and Appeal) Rules, 1966.
Serious accusations have been leveled against Dr. Tiwari, including providing misleading information to the department, which allegedly led to the illegal appointment of Dr. Pranjal Khare. NSUI State Vice President Ravi Parmar claimed that despite departmental inquiries nullifying Dr. Khare's appointment, he continued to receive regular payments in violation of regulations.
