New Delhi, May 20 -- Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan met a group of farmers from the North Indian states of Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, Delhi and Western Uttar Pradesh and briefed them the benefits of keeping the Indus Water Treaty (IWT) with Pakistan in abeyance. After meeting with the Agriculture Minister, the farmers' groups have extended their support to the government's decision to put the Indus Water Treaty (IWT) in "abeyance".
