Bhopal, April 29 -- The accused in the sexual assault, gang rape, atrocities, love jihad, and forced religious conversion case have faced severe public and police backlash in Bhopal. The suspects were paraded by Baghsewania police, and while being transported for medical examination, they were assaulted by angry lawyers at the district court and met with protests at JP Hospital.

In an attempt to protect them, the accused were dressed in saffron clothing (Bhagwa) for their court appearance, but this did not quell the fury of the lawyers, who attacked the accused, leaving them bloodied.
