Bhopal, Feb. 22 -- Amid a rapidly intensifying drive to enhance revenue collection, the Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Friday issued seizure notices to two property owners after they failed to clear taxes owed to the civic body.
The seizure action was reported in Zone 8 of the corporation, which aims to collect a staggering Rs 600 crore in revenue this year.
Acting on the instructions of Municipal Commissioner Harendra Narayan, Zone 8 officials, led by Nutan Khare, executed recovery operations in Sudama Nagar, where Property No. 204 was seized due to non-payment of Rs 76,708 in outstanding dues, including property tax, water charges, and solid waste management fees.
