New Delhi, Aug. 28 -- The Centre has made it mandatory for all schools across the country to issue and update Aadhaar for students in order to help them access Government benefits and competitive exams.

Updating Aadhaar biometrics is important for children as it later may lead to difficulties in authentication for receiving benefits under various welfare schemes, registering for competitive and university examinations like NEET, JEE, CUET etc. It is noted that many times students and parents rush for Aadhaar updates at the last moment leading to anxieties. This can be avoided with timely biometric updates.
